Teletraining

We are always trying to meet the needs of our clients and have noticed that facilities in outlying areas cannot always come to the training sites. Teletraining is now available which may be an answer to your training needs. All you need is a speaker phone and a room and we can provide hour-long training for your staff on many different subjects. The beauty of it is that we design it to meet your needs (not a "canned" presentation) and all you have to do is get your staff together. Handouts are sent to you to distribute at the training. You take the attendance and we do the training over the speaker phone. This makes it very simple and inexpensive, yet highly effective.

Does Your Infection Control Program Meet Federal Regulations? - Babcock
The level of care has changed in long-term care and with it the type of nosocomial infections that can attack our residents. This requires a proactive infection control program that is following set standards of care. There are three distinct entities that control the contents of our infection control programs and how we administer them. These are the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and OSHA's Regulations and the CDC's guidelines and they will be discussed in direct relation to long-term care infection control programs. Becoming a Detective, What's Really Behind Those Injuries - Babcock
As health care becomes more complex the chance for errors occurring in your facility grows and the chance for recovery becomes more difficult. Media reports focus on the errors, and the public, families and our residents begin to lose trust in us. CMS and Joint Commission ask that we report certain errors and they want to see how we resolve the issues. OSHA’s Targeting of Healthcare Facilities and How To Be Prepared - Allen
OSHA will begin targeted inspections nationally during September 2002 within nursing and personal care facilities, so what will OSHA be looking for and how can your facility be prepared? This National Emphasis Program will focus on ergonomics related to resident handling, exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, exposure to tuberculosis, and slip, trips, and falls.
